  3. What a great job on yer web site; ideas. We would love to be a part of yer program. It is important to get back to family values. It’s about time re-enactors are used in westerns cause we are already trained in the ways of the old west; have the correct clothing. We do pride ourselves in being period correct. The Frontier Gunfighters have been together since 1994 but most of us were in other groups prior so we bring a lot of knowledge to what ever set we are on. This is our passion; hobby. Feel free to contact me and do look at our Face book page, The Frontier Gunfighters, for up to date pic’s of the group in action. We are based outa Ventura County. Look forward to hearing from ya…Dusty; The Frontier Gunfighters…

  5. We are the Nevada Gunfighters out of Carson City Nevada. This group has been in existance since 1977. We advocate child gun safety and keeping our American Western history alive through stage presentations. At the Nevada state fair in 2010 we won the Best Intertainers Blue Ribbon at the Stste Fair. Just this past month the True West Magazine informed us that we are the readers choice for the Best In The West re-enactment group. We write our own scripts and research our stories and charactors. We are very interested in working with you.

  6. Everett Blix says:

Hi Folks. We are an Old West Reenactment group located near Sacramento, CA. We have been doing gigs for ten years. I am also a Casting Director and some of our members come from those ranks. Most of my activity these days for casting revolves around historical projects such as yours. I grew up up the Westerns of the 60′ and 70′s. I loved them. what I would change is the lack of realism regarding costuming (in particular) and props. Some of our group may be interested in coming down your way. However, if you wish to film in this area I have contacts with the Film Commissions and resources here.

  8. Hi,

I just received information about auditions for TIKI from The Pioneertown Posse of which I am a member. I would certainly like a chance to audition as a western player.

Television needs the old west back to run some of these junk shows out of Towne.

  9. Theresa VanWonterghem says:

    Hello,
My name is Theresa (Ms. B-Havin).VanWonterghem.
I am a 1880s re-enactor who authentically depicts old west events, including shootouts, saloon gun battles, jail breaks, bank robberies, train robberies and gun safety class prior to each performance. These include comedy, drama and historical events. I have done extensive research into 1880s clothing, and history. Over the years our groups have won numerous awards for authenticity, acting and showmanship. We have been showcased in several newspapers and TV events.

In 1998 I started working with the US Territorial Marshals, Cross Creek Cowboys, Mojave Muleskinners and I am currently with Border Renegades of Banning, Ca. I have constructed most of my own costumes, hats, pins and miscellaneous accessories for not only myself but for other group members.
I have participated in the “End of Trail”, several parades in San Juan Capistrano, Ca, Balboa, Ca, Christmas Parade in Norco, Ca and Stagecoach Days in Banning, Ca. I have also preformed in Pioneertown, Ca, Helldorado Days/Wyatt Earp Days in Tombstone, AZ and store grand openings, at senior centers and public schools. I have also preformed and hosted Cowboy Shootout competitions.
I have worked with the Living History Foundation and am a member of the NRA and RGA. I am flexible and work with other groups as needed to perform skits with them. I was hired to play a major roll in an independent film, unfortunately funding was an issue and the film is on indefinite hold. I also own and ride a certified police mounted horse.
I am eager to work with your company. I truly enjoy reliving and bringing to life the old west, and hopefully back into the 21st century.
